An advanced music library and media player.
The aTunes project is an application whose functionality mirrors that of a program with a similar name: Apple's iTunes product. Both the appearance and functionality of this program are similar to iTunes, yet it seems faster and more stable than the Apple product.
Getting started with aTunes involves selecting the folder where your mp3 files are stored and from there, aTunes will organize your media library. Music can be sorted by folders, authors, and information obtained from ID3 tags.
As mentioned above, this program fully supports ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags and incorporates the data contained therein into the media library. You can also associate images such as album covers with songs in the playlist and library. The filters which can be applied to your music collection makes aTunes a great way to browse through your collection.
As with iTunes, aTunes has a built-in MP3 player with functions similar to Winamp and others. It also supports M3U playlists.
